The grain market has seen mixed movements this week, with UK feed wheat prices edging lower while rapeseed continues to strengthen. London feed wheat for March 2025 fell to £182.40, down 0.7% from last week's closing price of £183.65. The decline reflects a lack of fresh demand and steady selling. The July 2025 carry narrowed, now sitting at £11.05.

On Hectare Trading, feed wheat received price offers of up to £200 in Central Scotland for April 2025 movement, and up to £195 in the East Midlands for June 2025.

Paris milling wheat for March 2025 dropped to £192.53, a 1.5% decrease from last week's closing price of £195.45. Weak export demand and increased competition from the Black Sea have contributed to this decline. The May 2025 carry widened to £4.79.

On Hectare Trading, group 4 (soft) wheat reached offers up to £200 in North East Scotland for April 2025 movement.

Paris rapeseed futures for May 2025 rose to £435.43, up 1.3% from last week's close of £430.02 but down from highs in the week. This movement reflects pressure from declining US soybean prices following reports of oversupply, affecting new crop values. The August 2025 futures price closed at £408.38 reflecting expectations of ample supply of new crop later in the year.

On Hectare Trading, OSR reached offers up to £395 in the North East for August 2025 movement.

Elsewhere on Hectare Trading, feed beans reached price offers up to £223 in the West Midlands for April 2024 movement, and feed barley saw price offers up to £178 in the East of England for May 2025.
