London feed wheat for May 2025 fell to £167.15, down 3.3% from last week's closing price of £172.90. This was driven by heightened tariff concerns and increased selling following the ceasefire discussions in the Black Sea, which may lead to increased Russian exports of grain and fertiliser to global markets. The carry to July 2025 narrowed to £8.50.
On Hectare Trading, feed wheat received offers of £205 in North East Scotland for March 2026 movement, and saw price offers up to £188 in the East Midlands for April 2025 movement. Group 1 wheat achieved offers up to £200 in the South West for March 2025 movement, Group 3 wheat saw price offers of £204 in Central Scotland for November 2025 movement, and Group 4 (Soft) wheat received offers up to £198 in North East Scotland for November 2025 movement.
Feed wheat was in high demand in the East Midlands this week with one listing receiving price offers from 8 different buyers, resulting in a £10 spread, worth an extra £2,320 for the seller over 8 loads.
Paris milling wheat for May 2025 fell to £181.68 (€218.25), down 3.5% from last week's closing price of £188.34 (€226.25). The carry to December 2025 narrowed to just £6.45.
Paris rapeseed for May 2025 rose to £433.70 (€521.00), up 5.5% from last week's closing price of £411.22 (€494.00). Tracking improvements in Winnipeg canola and boosted by slower selling by EU farmers. Paris rapeseed for August 2025 rose to £401.86 (€482.75), up 2.2% from last week's closing price of £393.32 (€472.50). On Hectare Trading, OSR achieved offers of £445 in the West Midlands for April 2025 movement.
Elsewhere on Hectare Trading, milling oats saw price offers up to £152 in the West Midlands for April 2025 movement. Feed barley received offers of £173 in North East Scotland for April 2025 movement, and feed barley (6-row) saw price offers up to £170 in Northumberland & Scottish Borders for March 2025 movement.
